2009 AAAA Convention
The Army Aviation Association of America is a not-for-profit organization with many constituencies
to include Active Duty, Reserve Component, Civilian, Industry, Retired, affiliated organizations, and
friends of Army Aviation.Regardless of interests and motivations there is one indisputable and overriding
focus that the AAAA membership would agree upon as it's purpose: To Support the United States Army
Aviation Soldier.
Goals & Objectives
Goal 1: AAAA will be the Advocate which supports the U.S. Army Aviation Soldier.
Objectives:
- Educate Federal / State / Local officials on Army Aviation requirements.
- Establish clear lines of communication to receive input and transmit information.
- Recognize the accomplishments of Aviation Soldiers / Civilians.
- Identify / prioritize initiatives to support the Aviation Soldier.
Goal 2: Provide resources (financial & other) to AAAA Chapters / Military Organizations / Individuals
to support US Army Aviation Soldiers.
Objectives:
- Identify initiatives that require resources to support the Army Aviation Soldier.Action: AAAA
Chapters / Army Aviation Branch Chief / AMCOM CG / PEO Aviation / Combat Readiness Center (CRC) CG
- For monetary resources, prioritize in-cycle requests and recommend allocations.Action: Secretary-Treasurer,
Fiscal Committee, other Committees based on the initiative.
- Make decisions that demonstrate resolve to accomplish this goal. Action: National Executive Board
(NEB) and Chapters.
Goal 3: Provide forums for the Army Community to interface on Army Aviation related topics.
Objectives:
- Structure a robust Professional Agenda for the annual AAAA Conventions. Action: Branch Chief /
Convention Committee.
- Submit articles for publication.Action: Active / ARNG / USAR / Civilian / Retiree / Industry /
AAAA Chapters / Affiliated Organizations / Individuals.AAAA Editor and Contributing Editor: develop/execute
the Media Plan and request help from NEB as required.
- Tell the Army Aviation Story.Action: Assign a Committee to develop and produce a CD for export
to the Hill and other influencers.
- Provide Professional Development opportunities at Chapter Meetings.Action:Chapter President
Goal 4: Facilitate communication of Army Aviation initiatives with Senior Leaders.
Objectives:
- Host semi-annual Senior Executive Associate (SEA) meetings to champion Army Aviation issues.Action:
Strategic Planning Committee.
- Identify issues.Action: VCSA / Branch Chief / AMCOM CG / PEO Aviation / CRCCG
- Prioritize issues.Action: AAAA National Executive Group (NEG) working in concert with the VCSA,
Branch Chief, AMCOM CG, and PEO Aviation.
- Communicate issues to Senior Executive Associates for discussion/action. Action: VCSA / Branch
Chief / AMCOM CG / PEO Aviation
- Assign actions to Senior Executive Associates.Action: SEA Chair.
Goal 5: Establish / expand professional relationships with other branches and military / civilian
Aviation oriented associations. Objectives:
- Establish a relationship with other branch professional organizations (Armor, Infantry Associations,
etc.).Action: AAAA President
- Establish a professional relationship with Aviation organizations of mutual interest (e.g. VHPA,
AHS, Heritage, Mohawk, Birddogs, etc).Action: Assign responsibilities to a VP
