Introduction

The abilities of, and technology surrounding, the Special Operations Froces grow and expand daily. Technologies are readily available. Products are lighter, faster, stronger and cheaper. The wars that are being fought today are in new areas, on new footing and with unique environmental factors. Outfitting, equipping and maintaining our Special Forces to effectively fight the battle they are presented with is a constant battle within itself. Our warfighters must be successful. SOCOM aims to strengthen our forces by giving them useful tools with which to arm themselves, all with speed and accuracy in mind. As technology continues to increase, so too will the abilities of our Special Forces.

The 2010 Special Operations Forces Industry Conference, or SOFIC for short, will present many facets of the initiatives that have been undertaken by the Special Operations Command. The conference will showcase the steps that have been taken to further enhance the Forces' ability to keep acquisition at the forefront of development.

Senior Industry Executive Forum

Industry participation is requested for a Senior Industry Executive Forum during SOFIC. The Forum will occur on Wednesday, June 16, 2010, 9:00am - 11:30am. Participation is limited to two Executive members from each company who carry the authority/ responsibility of a Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Operating Officer (COO), or President.
